I wanted to record this video a year ago but life happened. Plus the meaning of the song then is not the same to me now. A lot has transpired in the past year which enabled me to bring this video to my Beautifuls today.
I was asked what was the purpose of the video. Well for one it was fun. Two, I was able to pay homage to the Queen: Mary J Blige!!! Her music has resonated so much with me. From What’s the 411 and still to this day. Third, Thick of It represents a moment in my life which was perfect for my “Life After 40”. The moment when REALITY hit me…and the RELEASE which followed.
Basically, I realized I did too much to keep my marriage. I was fighting a losing battle. It should not be this hard. Everything was one sided. Nothing has changed after 5 years. I know my worth. I deserved better. Time to cut that string. Time to let go!!! Time to move on!!!
Everything happens for a reason and now was the right time to bring my vision to life. Enjoy Beautifuls!
